Meet Doris Lane
Doris Lane is a quiet soul with a soft spot for cats and a lifelong love of making and collecting simple, useful things. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, baking, and curating thoughtful little goods she believes bring comfort or joy, especially for fellow pet lovers.
Doris isn’t a businesswoman, she’s a typical mother & grandmother to a beautiful family of 14. She’s the kind of person who’s always got a project on the go, whether it’s crocheting something for the neighbour’s new baby or baking biscuits just because it’s Tuesday.
She’s also a lifelong animal lover. Her cat, Marmalade, is practically a second grandchild, and when he started having trouble with his teeth a while back, she went on one of her little research missions. That’s how she found these silvervine dental sticks - totally natural, no weird ingredients, and surprisingly helpful. Marmalade loved them, and before long she was giving them out to friends and family too.
I ended up helping her put together this little shop - nothing fancy, just a way for her to share some of the things she loves. We hired Marmalade to oversee the project, and she really does get a kick out of seeing happy customers and happy cats.
Now that she’s getting ready to retire properly and slow down a bit, we’re only offering a few things she genuinely likes and stands by. It’s not about building a brand or doing something big - it’s just a quiet little side project she’s proud of. And honestly, I think that’s what makes it special.
